Hurriyat Conference (G) senior leader and National Front (NF) chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan has expressed grave concern over, what he said, “the recent attacks on Muslims in Kathua at behest of extremist forces like RSS”.

“Muslims in Jammu region are being attacked and assaulted every now and then and the purpose of such well-designed attacks is to terrorize the Muslim community in the region. The government and its administration must understand that these kind of attacks on Muslims, if continue, will have serious repercussions across the state,” Nayeem Khan, in a statement today, said.

He said, “It is the duty of police to protect the weak sections of the population from the extremist forces even if these forces are at the helm of affairs in the state. We know that the Muslims have been kept under pathetic conditions in Hindu dominated areas of the Jammu region but we cannot remain as mute spectators when they are being terrorised by the murderous attacks from the extremists forces.”
