North Kashmir: Palhalan, Brath Kalan areas shut against militant killings

Two Hizbul Mujhadeen militants were killed on Monday night in a gun fight with forces in Zachaldara Handwara area of Kupwara district.

A complete shutdown is being observed on Tuesday in Palhalan Pattan and Brath Kalan Sopore in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Two Hizbul Mujhadeen militants were killed on Monday night in a gun fight with forces in Zachaldara Handwara area of Kupwara district.

Police identified the slain militants as Ashiq Ahmad Bhat of Palhalan Pattan and Toib Majeed Mir of Brathkalan Sopore.

Meanwhile, eye witnesses said that hundreds of people are marching towards Palhalan and Bratkalan to participate in the funeral prayers of the slain militants.
