Noted literary activist Muhammad Ahsan Ahsan passes away

He was closely associated with the linguist movement led by Adbi Markaz Kamraaz (AMK).

Noted literary activist and founder member of State's largest literary organization Adbi Markaz Kamraz, Muhammad Ahsan Ahsan breathed his last in Hajin on Wednesday after brief illness.

He was 86 and is survived by his wife and a son.

Ahsan was referred to a hospital in Srinagar after he complained of chest pain. 

He was closely associated with the linguist movement led by Adbi Markaz Kamraaz (AMK).

Ahsan worked with AMK from the beginning and vociferously advocated the protection of Kashmiri language and culture. 

He was a teacher and later joined JKAACL as a research officer. 

He was a member of Idara-i-Awqaaf Hajin and Patron of Hajini Memorial Public School.
