In his address, Prof Siddiqi, who distributed certificates among participants, emphasized that colleges and universities have to redesign and redefine their role in contemporary times instead of continuing with redundant models. He urged higher educational institutions to undertake operational research to find out whether goals and targets of educational policies have been achieved or there is a need to redesign curricula.

Prof Sangmi urged participants to think collectively to make educational objectives in consonance with social objectives.  Dr Geer later delivered vote of thanks and said considerable challenges remain in terms of employability and relevance, quality and excellence of the higher education system.
