2 electrocuted in Tral, body found in Awantipora

Ajaz Ahmed Malik (25), son of Mohammad Afzal Malik and Adil Ahmed Lone (24), son of Ali Mohammad Lone of Batagund village in Tral area of Pulwama district were rushed to Sub District Hospital Tral but the doctors declared them dead on arrival.

A truck driver and his conductor were electrocuted in Taki village of south Kashmir’s Tral sub-division on Friday, eyewitnesses said.

Ajaz Ahmed Malik (25), son of Mohammad Afzal Malik and Adil Ahmed Lone (24), son of Ali Mohammad Lone of Batagund village in Tral area of Pulwama district were rushed to Sub District Hospital Tral but the doctors declared them dead on arrival.

 Both were inside their vehicle when high-tension line suddenly touched the top of it.

 "After completion of all legal formalities, both the bodies have been dispatched to their native villages." a doctor at SDH Tral said.

Following the negligence of Power Development Department (PDD) ,SDM Tral Riyaz Ahmed Malik suspended AEE  PDD sub division Awantipora and JE Batagund.

"We have started the enquiry to know why HT line was hanging close to the ground "SDM said.

In another incident, police recovered a  female  body from river Jhelum at Ziyarat Sharief Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday, a senior police official said.
