Tral shuts against militant killings

A complete shutdown was observed in Tral area of Pulwama district on second consecutive day today to mourn the death of three JeM militants.

All the shops and business establishments remain closed while as traffic was completely off the roads. Heavy deployment remained on various spots across the Tral town and some other areas to thwart any attempts of protests.

Mukhtar Ahmad of Amir abad-Tral, Pervaiz Ahmed Wani of Pahoo Pulwama and a Pakistani Hassan Bhai were killed in an encounter with government forces in Wantiwen forests of Satura village of Tral in Pulwama district on Saturday. Thousands of people had participated in the funeral of Mukhtar and Parvez at their native places while the Pakistani militant was buried at Boniyar- Baramulla.
