Srinagar, Nov 11: Going against the precedence the Hurriyat Conference (M) delegation which would leave for Pakistan next month on its arrival in the country has decided to meet the leaders from Pakistan Administrated Kashmir (PaK).
Talking to Greater Kashmir a Hurriyat leader, who was a part of the three hour meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to India Salman Bashir, said, “Hurriyat leadership conveyed to Bashir that they would first meet political leadership of PaK which would be followed by meeting businessmen associated with cross LoC trade, members of the civil society and finally political leadership of Pakistan, opposition party leaders and civil society from Pakistan.”
The meeting between Hurriyat leaders and Pakistan delegation comprising Pak High Commissioner, Deputy High Commissioner, Military Attaché and Press Secretary was held at Salman Bashir’s official residence at Tilak Nagar in New Delhi.
Apart from Mirwaiz, the Hurriyat delegation comprised Moulvi Muhammad Abbas Ansari, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, Bilal Gani Lone, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al Safvi and Shahid-ul-Islam
Taking to Greater Kashmir over phone from New Delhi, Mirwaiz said: “We had a detailed meting with Pakistan delegation. We will leave for Pakistan on December 15.”
Asked that Shabir Shah had said that he was not aware of the meeting with Pakistan delegation, he said: “No one was called separately. All the members were informed in the executive meeting called by the amalgam at party headquarters.”
