24 vehicles seized, 148 challaned by Rajouri police

Both AdSP Rajouri Mohd Yousuf and AdSP Nowshera Master Pospy have been directed to monitor the drive in the area of their jurisdiction.

On fourth day of its major drive against violation of traffic rules and regulations, Rajouri police here has claimed to have seized twenty four vehicles and challaned one hundred and fourty eight vehicles across the district.

The said  drive was started on 15th of November on the directions of SSP Rajouri, Yougal Manhas and all police stations and police post officers were directed for laying special nakas and to take action as per law against people violating norms with main focus on over-loading, use of crach helmets, seat belts and driving by minors.

Both AdSP Rajouri Mohd Yousuf and AdSP Nowshera Master Pospy have been directed to monitor the drive in the area of their jurisdiction.

A senior police officer said that on the fourth day of this drive, today, police teams of Rajouri police stations headed by SHO Ajay Chib  under the supervision of DySP HQrs Jaswant Singh challaned thirty five two wheeler vehicles  and two light and heavy vehicles for violations of norms. Seventeen vehicles have also been seized for violation. 

Team headed by SHO Sunderbani Pardeep Gupta challaned eleven vehicles whereas Nowshera police station team headed by SHO Karan Chalotra challaned twenty four two wheelers for violation of norms and seized four. he added.

Dharamsal police station team headed by SHO Romal Singh challaned twenty three vehicles  while Kalakote team headed by SHO Darshan Singh challaned twelve vehicles.

SDPO Nowshera supervised the action of the four police stations.

Budhal police station team headed by SHO Jahangir Ahmed challaned twenty one vehicles and Thanamandi team headed by SHO Nazir Ahmed Dar challaned six vehicles and seized one vehicle, said officer.

In Manjakote, seven vehicles have been challaned by team headed by SI Vikram under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote whereas one vehicle was seized and in Darhal, one vehicle has been seized besides challaning of others by team headed by SHO Azeem Hussain, officer added. 

Kandi police station team headed by SHO Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of DySP OPs Rajouri Sukhdev Singh challaned a number of vehicles.
