Court convicts 9 persons in Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 10:  A court on Saturday convicted nine persons and sentenced them to rigorous imprisonment for three years for the offences for assaulting the members of another family and ransacking their property.
 The Court of Munsif Judge Kupwara Imtyaz Ahmad Lone convicted nine persons, all residents of Chukpora Trehgam for offences committed under RPC.
 Police had filed a chargesheet against the accused in the court after an FIR No-24 of 2002 under sections 148,447,354, 336,427,425 was lodged against the accused in police station Trehgam and produced six witnesses following a complaint by Ghulam Nabi Zargar, son of Ali Muhammad Zargar of Chuckpora Trehgam that all the nine accused forced their entry into his house and assaulted his daughter Haseena. He also alleged that trees were chopped down by him.
