The District level competitions in the ongoing U-17 Junior Cricket Championship organized by J&K State Sports Council in collaboration Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar have concluded and the Inter-District level competition will begin soon.
In the district level stage of the event, 320 teams that included 4800 player’s participated. The championship is being organized at 3 different levels including block, district and state level. A total of 310 cricket matches were played in 10 districts of Kashmir, a DPS statement said.
The organizers are all set to take the event yet another step forward by conducting Inter-District matches for the qualifying teams. The Inter-District level competitions are scheduled from April 22.
Boys Higher Secondary School, Bijbehara (District Anantnag), Govt. Higher Secondary School, Noorpora, Awantipora (District Pulwama), Govt. Higher Secondary School, Zainapora (District Shopian), Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kulgam (District Kulgam), Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Soibugh (District Budgam), New Green Land School (District Bandipora), Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kupwara (District Kupwara), Madina Public School, Balihinar, Mirgund (District Baramulla), Sultania Public School, Ganderbal (District Ganderbal), Dr. AGM’s City School, Nowgam (District Srinagar) are the qualifying teams.
