Skipper Shubham Singh Pundir scored unbeaten 102 to drive J&K inning in response to Goa’s first inning total of 398 runs on the second day of the Under-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy match at Sanguem Cricket Gound, Sanguem on Saturday.

At the end of second days play, J&K thanks to unbeaten ton by Pundir, were at 173 for the loss of three wickets. They were still trailing by 225 runs to Goa’s first inning score of 398 runs.

J&K got off to bad start as top three batsmen falling with only 63 runs on board. Then Pundir in the middle was joined by Paras Sharma and the duo formed unbroken stand of 110 runs between them. Pundir was batting on 102 off 143 balls. His inning included 15 boundaries while as Sharma was batting on 44 off 89 balls.

Earlier Goa inning ended on 398 runs. VG Kahlon top scored with 103 runs for them while as A Shigwan scored 89. For J&K, Moomin Mansoor and Aman Sharma took four wickets each while as Auqib Nabi took two.
