RTO holds camps

As part of ongoing activities during the 28th Road Safety Week, awareness camps were organized by Regional Transport Officer Kashmir in the premises of Chief Engineer PHE and Bus Stand Batamaloo. 

“It was emphasized by Regional Transport Officer Kashmir that the Motor Vehicle Department is making efforts to generate people's movement for Road Safety awareness by involving all stakeholders,” said an official communiqué.  

“RTO appealed to gatherings at Chief Engineer’s Office to join this awareness so that incidents of accidents could be brought down and thereby precious lives could be saved. At the Batamaloo Bus stand, the RTO interacted with transporters, drivers, cleaners and the general public. He stressed on importance of etiquettes and behavior of the drivers, cleaners towards passengers,” it adds. 

It said that RTO appealed the transporters to ensure that the seats reserved for the female passengers should not be occupied by the gents and adhere to the timelines so that buses and minibus provide a reliable transport system.
