Development authorities preparing revised Master Plan: Dy CM

Srinagar, Oct 11: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand on Thursday informed the Legislative Council that development authorities of Jammu and Srinagar have started revision of the Master Plan 2000-2021.
 The Deputy Chief Minister was replying to a short notice question by Murtaza Ahmed Khan in the Legislative Council today. He said that in case of Jammu Development Authority, the draft Master Plan has been prepared by the CEPT University, Ahmadabad and is ready for inviting objections and suggestions of the general public.
 He said this Master Plan will be finalized and notified in next six months. He said in case of Srinagar Development Authority, the preparation of revised Master Plan has been entrusted to SAI Consulting and Engineering Pvt. Limited, Ahmadabad.
 “The draft Master Plan is in initial stage. Basic data is being collected for finalization of the draft Master Plan. Same is likely to be ready for inviting public objections in next 10 months,” he said.
