'Kargil cleanest town in J&K'

Political organisations, traders and others have congratulated the executive officer Municipal Committee Kargil, Abdul Gaffar Zargar, for getting the award of excellence from the Governor Satya Pal Malik  and for declaring Kargil town as one of the cleanest town of J&K and open defecation free.

It may be recalled that state level grand finale/felicitation ceremony of “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign was jointly organised  by the Housing and Urban Development Department and School Education Department at the SKICC  on 2 October, 2018. 

The councillor Kargil Town Haji Muhammad Abass, Muhmmad Ali Lamboo social activist from Goma Kargil, street vendors associations, associations of shop keepers at new bus stand, vendors of Tha-Tha Khani Changrah and prominent citizens of Kargil Town have congratulated Zargar and his team for the achievement.

While talking to media Zargar thanked all the stake holders of Kargil town in helping him to achieve this milestone. He particularly thanked  the president of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama and chairman Imam Khomeni Memorial Trust and the people of Kargil town for making people aware to abide open defecation along the river side and abide use of ploythenes.

He thanked his staff from sweeper to supervisors, drivers etc for helping him in this battle to clean the community around Kargil town.
