Following the orders issued by the Governor to install biometric attendance in all government offices across the state, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana on Friday convened a meeting of all district and sectorial officers of Kishtwar district to ensure biometric attendance across the district.

During the meeting, Rana emphasized that all government employees should reach office on time. He instructed that a biometric attendance system be put in place in offices, including offices which are falling in areas where internet facilities are not available yet.

“Efforts should be made to ensure that a biometric system of attendance is installed by or before 30th of this month, otherwise the salaries of employees will not be disbursed afterwards," Rana insisted.

"Apart from this, all the government employees, including PSU employees, contractual, consolidated and causal workers in each department, be registered with the NIC Kishtwar, cases of SRO 43 be expedited , APR's, property statements and seniority lists be submitted," he directed.

Rana also directed all the officers not to leave station without getting proper permission from higher heads. He also asked them to submit their tour diaries in advance and asked the district officers to submit the positions/locations of JE's ,VLW's, GRS's and Patwaris to the office of DDC.

He instructed SDM's, especially Marwah and Padder, to ensure installation of manual (offline) biometric machines in their respective offices.

The DDC also directed all the district officers to publish an advertisement of class IV vacancies within ten days in all offices and also directed them to keep reserved posts, 1 against 10 posts, under SRO 43. He also directed them to clear all the pending selection lists in a short period of time.

Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed measures for expediting the pace of ongoing developmental works and to remove the bottlenecks and critical gaps that are hampering the progress. He also sought the Action Taken Reports from all the departments, including PHE, R&B, PMGSY and RDD over the decisions and directions passed on various occasions.
