Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday expressed serious concern over the “snail’s pace” of construction work of fruit markets in south Kashmir’s Bijbihara, Pulwama and Shopian. During PDP vice-president Abdul Rahman Veeri’s visit to South Kashmir’s Anantnag and his meeting with various public delegations there, he was appraised about the hardships being faced by the fruit growers due to the delay in building of fruit Mandis at JabliPoraBijbehara, Pulwama and AglarShopian, a statement here said.

Veeri said that even as the proposals for the building of the fruit mandis in these areas stand approved since long, the slow pace of work is adding up worries of fruit growers at large”.

Veeri maintained that instead of allowing funds to get lapsed, the administration must take serious note of snail’s pace of work going on for the construction of fruit Mandis at JabliPoraBijbehara, Pulwama and AglarShopian.
