United Jihad Council (UJC) supremo and chief of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin and others paid rich tributes to five militants killed in a gunfight with the government forces in Kellam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.

The slain militants who were all locals included  Waseem Bashir Rather of Ashmuji Kulgam; Zahid Parray of Gopalpora, DH Pora Kulgam; Idrees Bhat of Arwani Bijbehara in Anantnag district; Aaqib Nazir of Zongal PoraKulgam and ParvaizBhat of NuksanPora, Qaimoh Kulgam.

Terming the “slain militants as heroes,” Salahuddin in a statement to a local news agency CNS said that “their blood will not go in vain and will show its true colour one day.”

He also condemned the use of pellets and force on civilians in Kellam area, and said “such tactics will never suppress the sentiments of Kashmiris.”

He said people of Kashmir will continue the struggle of their rights for which they have been sacrificing from past 70 years.

As per statement Field Commander Muhammad Bin Qasim also paid rich tributes to the slain militants.

NATIONAL FRONT

In a statement National Front  deputy chairman Altaf Hussain Wani said that “the killing of youths on almost daily basis in Kashmir has turned the whole region into a mourning place where every person has lost at least one close relative, friend or associate. All these killings are a direct result of the Delhi’s rigidity. Irony is that New Delhi is fully supported by the local Jafars and Mir Sadiqs who have sold their conscience against mere worldly interests,”

DEMOCRATIC FREEDOM PARTY

A spokesman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) said that “our youth are being butchered on daily basis because they want an end to forcible control which has affected the lives of Kashmiri people in every respect throughout the years ever since 1947. Our youth are fighting for their basic and fundamental rights and instead of giving them heed they are being massacred day in and day out.”

“Meanwhile, DFP spokesman  reiterated  the party’s demand to return of mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Muhammad Afzal Guru, who were hanged and buried in Tihar jail, New Delhi.

The spokesman said that a DFP delegation led by Er Farooq visited Trehgam, the native place of Maqbool Bhat and paid homage to him and Afzal Guru.
