The Chamber welcomed the prompt response   demonstrated   by the state administration     while responding to the   recent threats.

The chamber suggested various short and long term measures for prevention and management of disasters included floods. The KCCI   informed the Advisor that the chamber was planning to organise a seminar on   the condition of poultry industry of Kashmir and on its  challenges  and potential  in the first week of August 2018.

The advisor while   appreciating the inputs given by the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry assured the delegation that effective follow-up action would be initiated on these issues.

During their interaction with Advisor, the delegation suggested for holding of Kashmir Festivals in big cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata to increase the footfall of tourists from these states.

The delegation sought intervention of the Advisor to allocate adequate funds out of the Prime Minister’s Special Package for J&K State for creation of assets in the tourism sector so that the carrying capacity of the state is enhanced to meet the flow of tourists during peak season.

KCCI delegation also requested the Advisor to approach the Union Ministry of Railways for running ‘Special Holiday Trains’, on the analogy of Rajasthan, so that the travellers crisscross the valley to enjoy its pristine beauty.
