NPP for restoration of Bhim Singh’s security cover
Claiming that the state government has ‘reduced’ the level of security provided to its Chief Paton, Bhim Singh, the National Panthers Party (NPP) today sought the Governor’s intervention for restoration of his ‘Z’ security cover.
“The party appeals N.N. Vohra, Governor of J&K, to ensure adequate security for Prof Bhim Singh who is in ‘Z’ security category. The State government has withdrawn his (Singh’s) escort vehicle while another vehicle provided to him was also withdrawn earlier in his capacity as former Legislator”, a party statement said, alleging that Singh was being discriminated as part of vengeance.
The party has urged the Governor to personally intervene in the matter and ensure restoration of his security cover.
