All Jammu and Kashmir PHE ITI trained and CP workers association on Wednesday took out protest rally at Lakhanpur in district Kathua demanding release of pending wages and redressal of other issues.

The protest rally was led by J&K PHE ITI trained and CP workers association president, Tanveer Hussain. 

Besides large number of daily wagers  from various division, district presidents and general secretaries , the central committee members including Deepak Gupta (vice-president), Subhash Rakwal (general secretary), Bhanu Partap and Sanjeev Thakur  also took part in the protest rally.

Addressing protesters, Tanveer Hussain said they have given so many ultimatums to the government but nothing has been done for the release of our pending wages of last 42 months. He said that everyone need wages to do work, we and our families are starving but department has no seriousness towards our issues. He said that now when we are left with no option other than to go for “Kaam Chodo Hartal,” our department and government is completely responsible for this. 

He urged government to immediately release all the pending wages of the daily wagers without further delay.

Meanwhile the striking PHE daily wagers further extended the call “Kaam Chodo Hartaal” for 72 hours. 

Jeevan Singh, Balbir Jasmeria, Govind kumar, Parveen Ahmed, Bittu, Pawan Kumar, Dhani ram, Sohan Choudhary and Manjeet Singh also took part in the protest.
