Jammu, Nov 26: The senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Friday urged President of India Ramnath Kovind to intervene to revive the statehood of J&K in the interest of the security of the state (J&K and Ladakh).
A statement of JKNPP issued here said that the JKNPP had already submitted an urgent request to the President of India to hold assembly polls in J&K after restoring its statehood that was demolished on 5 August 2019.
It quoted the senior JKNPP leaders as saying that the security in J&K was passing through difficult times and the present administration was finding it difficult to handle the situation.
