Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar Friday said ancient wisdom and knowledge of medical practices can be used as a complement to modern medicine and collective efforts need to be undertaken to carry out research for developing medicinal plants and taking out benefits from them.
Kumar said this after inaugurating the Forest FlowerFestival at Botanical Garden at Jammu University. The event was organised bythe State Forest Research Institute J&K in collaboration with Department ofBotany, University of Jammu.
Director General of police, Dilbagh Singh and ViceChancellor University of Jammu Prof. Manoj Dhar were among a host of othergovernment and university officials present on the occasion.
