Srinagar: The BA first year examination for Gurez students scheduled for November 10 (Tuesday) has been postponed. Fresh dates will be announced separately. However all KU examination for rest of the valley will be held as per schedule.
MOWA condoles demise
Srinagar: A condolence meeting was convened today by the Municipal Officers Welfare Association (MOWA) under the chairmanship of its president, Me'raj-ud-Din, Divisional Town Planner, SMC on the sad demise of Bashir Ahmad Akmali uncle of Abdul Hamid Akmali, secretary, SMC. The MOWA expressed grief and sorrow over the demise and extended heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
Psychiatry clinic in SKIMS
Srinagar: The Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura has started a psychiatry clinic for the patients suffering from psychiatry disorders. The medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Syed Amin Tabish told Greater Kashmir, "The clinic started from October operates on Thursday at Room No 153 from 10 AM to 2 PM." He said no prior appointment was required for the patients who can register themselves at the counter of the medical records department at OPD.
Winter secretariat functional
Srinagar: The winter secretariat started functioning here from today. The minister for School Education, Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed today on the first day attended the winter secretariat with other officers stationed here for the facility of people during the winter months. The minister will remain available for the people till November 13.
CSR programme at IUST
Srinagar: The school of business studies, Islamic University, Awantipora is organising a programme on corporate social responsibility on November 10. Apart from the batches of MBA students, delegates from various corporate houses would be participating in the programme aimed at creating awareness vis-à-vis corporate social responsibility. The batches 2007 and 2009 have also been invited to attend the function.
