Budgam, Nov 9: Agriculture and allied sectors have booked an expenditure of 45.6 percent whereas Rural Development department has spent 54 percent of funds available under district plan till October 2013. This information was given in a review meeting held here today. Social sectors in district Budgam have registered a cumulative expenditure of Rs 25 Crores till date in this financial year and R&B department has black topped 115 km of road length in the district, an official statement said. Additional DDC Budgam, Mohi-ud-Din Bhat advised the officers to visit the field and take first hand stock of works executed.
Chief Medical Officer informed the meeting that integrated disease surveillance project is under operation by which water testing at various places is done to ensure safe drinking water.
Executive engineer PDD was asked to address various electricity related issues which people of the district are facing and a deadline was set up for maintenance of street lights, replacements of sub stations/transformers and expenditures related to regulating transmission and distribution (T&D) losses.
