Islamabad (Anantnag), Oct 9: To review the pace of developmental activities being taken up during the current financial year, District Development Commissioner, Islamabad (Anantnag), Farooq Ahmad Shah convened a meeting of officers here today.
 Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer besides sectoral officers of various departments participated in the meeting, an official statement said.
 It was given out that under R&B sector, an amount of Rs. 24.28 lakh has been utilized on macadamization of 32.80 km of road length besides Rs. 528 lakh were expended for providing drinking water facilities to 13039 souls of 10 habitations.
 It was also informed that as many as 70800 job cards have been distributed among the BPL families and 306000 mandays have been generated so far.
 Under IAY, 1664 residential structures have been constructed at a cost of Rs. 28.66 lakh for the BPL families in the district while  under Health Sector medical facilities were provided to 104454 outdoor and 12405 indoor patients at different health centres besides 726 major and 2388 minor surgeries have been conducted.
 The meeting was also informed that Rs. 14.96 crore have been distributed among 34622 beneficiaries under NOPS and IGPS schemes, while Rs. 1.68 crore have been distributed as scholarships.
 DDC exhorted upon the officers to expedite the pace of development works and achieve the tangible targets before the onset of winter to facilitate the people and also emphasized for redressing their grievances at their doorsteps.
