Jammu, Nov 9: According to Transport Commissioner & Chairman State Transport Authority, J&K, Jammu, no vehicle can be sold by any Trade Certificate Holder (Authorized dealer) unless the model of the vehicle is introduced into the transport system of J&K by the Empowered Standing Committee (ESC) constituted by the government on October 16, 2008 vide order No. 64 of 2008, an official statement said.
 All the RTOs/ARTOs  have been asked to intimate all Trade Certificate Holders in their respective jurisdiction to adhere to the provisions of SRO 64 in letter and spirit and ensure that no model of vehicle was sold without the approval of the Empowered Standing committee.
 Any violation would entail a composition fee of Rs 1 lakh per vehicle from the certificate holder and would also result into suspension of the Trade Certificate till the composite fee is deposited by the holder.
