Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) today hailed the government for approving the name of Justice (Retd) Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain as head of the fee structure panel, even as demanding that private schools be taken on board while taking any decision regarding the fee.
KEA, in a statement, said it was the long pending demand of the schools to have a committee to fix fee structure.
KEA Chairman Showkat Chowdhary hailed Chief Minister Mufti Sayeed for approving the name of Justice (retd) Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain.
The KEA, however, urged the government to take private schools on board before finalizing any free structure for the schools.
"The views and the suggestions of the private schools are also important for any fee structure that can be finalized. Government should take schools as the members in the panel so that the decisions will be taken keeping in view their demands also," said Chairman KEA.
"Private schools' contribution has been immense and they are facing financial problems also after floods while as the government schools have not performed that much," said KEA Chairman.
Chowdhary said most of the school infrastructure got damaged during the floods causing huge loses.
"Government's support is necessary for private schools. Whatever decisions are taken, the stakeholders should be taken into confidence so that they can express their concerns," said Chowdhary.
