Shaher-e-Khaas traders have appealed Jammu and Kashmir Bank to upgrade all its branches in the Old City as "model business units".

In this connection, a delegation of All Shaher-e-Khaas Traders' Federation, Zaina Kadal held a meeting with senior officers of JK Bank at Nallah Mar branch, here.

 "We suggested to the bank that it should upgrade its branches in the old city as model business units for convenience of traders and general people," federation president Nazir Ahmad Shah said. 

Shah said the delegation besides demanding commissioning of some more ATMs by the bank in the Old City also suggested that branch managers may be delegated disbursing powers up to Rs 10 lakh.  

The Federation appreciated the role of some senior officers of the Bank for facilitating smooth services and resolving issues confronting traders particularly during floods.

The meeting among other was attended by Federation office-bearers including Nisar Zargar, Mushtaq Wani and Sajad Kamili.
