J&K Bank organised one-day Jashne Amada Bahar (a festival to welcome onset of spring) at BadamVaer (Almond Alcove) here today.
The bloom of almond flowers in this historical Almond Alcove on the banks of Nageen Lake is the first sign of arrival of spring in valley.
Executive Presidents of the Bank, Parvez Ahmad &Abdul RaufBhat, Senior President Muhammad Syed Wani, Vice Presidents and other senior officials of the bank were present.
A number of handicraft stalls displaying traditional handicraft products of Kashmir and traditional food stalls were also set up by the Bank.
Despite inclement weather the festival was marked by good number of people including tourists, the bank in a statement said.
It's pertinent to mention that J&K Bank has been maintaining BadamVaer after it was redeveloped and its glory restored in 2008.
