"Since the commissioning of the project, it has achieved highest ever generation during 2015-16," R K Gupta Deputy Manager Public Relations for the Salal Project said.
He said in a rare achievement the project generated 381.21 MU more power than the target of 3210 MU set by Ministry of Power, Government of India.
He said the generation of 3591.21 MU in FY 2015-16 was possible due to "water availability, timely execution of annual maintenance of machines and attending to petty faults promptly resulting in continues availability of machines for generation."
A.G. Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station congratulated the employees for achieving the record generation.
Giving credit to the employees, he said this is the team work which has yielded results as each and every employee of the Power Station has equally contributed, directly or indirectly, by performing the tasks assigned to them to achieve the desired results.
