J&K State Cooperative Bank has posted a record Rs 900 cr business for the financial year 2015-16. 
The bank has achieved business growth of around 10 per cent "considered to be wonderful performance keeping in view the poor business indicators of the state," a statement here said. 
The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of the Bank touched the level of 9 per cent, which is above the target fixed by the Reserve Bank of India.
The bank succeeded in keeping the non-performing assets under control and reduced from Rs 33.28 Crore to Rs 30.34 Crore at the end of financial year 2015-16. 
The JKSCB opened five new Business units and introduced the ATM network to its customers. 
The Bank has attained the sustainable viability and earning profits for two decades now.
Chairman of the bank, M S Dar said a number of initiatives are in the pipe line for the better customer services by the bank. 
He thanked the team of JKSCB and its customers who he said have shown faith and trust in the bank.
