DC Pulwama inaugurates new J&K Bank building in Achan

Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar today visited Achan, Pulwama and inaugurated a New J&K Bank building with state of art facilities in presence of J&K Bank Zonal Head, Pulwama and Shopian Tasaduk Ahmad Dar, J&K Bank Cluster Head (South) Muzaffar Qadri, Local Auqaf Chairman Mir Nazir and a gathering of people.

Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama,  Ghulam Mohammad Dar today visited Achan, Pulwama and inaugurated a New J&K Bank building with state of art facilities  in presence of J&K Bank Zonal Head, Pulwama and Shopian  Tasaduk Ahmad Dar, J&K Bank Cluster Head (South) Muzaffar Qadri, Local Auqaf Chairman Mir Nazir  and  a gathering of people.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the importance of banking services in the area and said financial institutions play a vital role in the modern times for the socio-economic transformation of the people particularly in the rural areas. While Appreciating the role of bank in localizing its products, DC said that J&K Bank has sustained the local economies by providing them tailor-made solutions in agriculture, handicrafts and other businesses.

Deputy Commissioner lauded the role of local Auqaf Committee for arranging the land for the construction of the bank building. He also appreciated bank officials for reaching out to every nook and corner of the district and exhibiting full zeal to sustain the economy of the district.

Speaking on the occasion Zonal Head J&K Bank, Pulwama and Shopian Tasaduk Ahmad Dar urged the people of Achan and adjoining Shahoora area to avail maximum benefit fromt eh ank.

On the occasion local people apprised the DDC with their issues including construction of protection bund on Nallah  Rambiara ,maintenance of play field, non-availability of staff in PHC, upgradation of High School  and macdamization of the inner road in the village. DDC assured them that all the demands will be redressed on priority basis.
