Ousted chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Parvez Ahmad on Saturday said he was "open to scrutiny" on every transaction during his tenure with the bank.
Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday sacked Parvez Ahmedas chairman of J&K Bank and removed him from the board of directors of thebank.
"Absolutely no regrets. Did my job most diligently, honestlyand in the best interest of the institution. Open to scrutiny on each and everytransaction I have done during my two decades of functioning in the bank,"Ahmad wrote on Twitter, hours after he was removed as the bank chairman.
In an order issued, the government said: "Parvez Ahmad,Chairman cum Managing Director, shall cease to be Director on the Board ofDirectors of the Bank and consequently be no longer the Chairman cum ManagingDirector of the bank."
"RK Chhibber is hereby nominated as the Director on theBoard and may be further appointed as the intermin Chairman cum Managing Directorof the Board," the order read further.
The state vigilance organisation sleuths also raided thefinancial institution's corporate headquarters in Srinagar soon after theremoval of Ahmad as the bank chairman.
