Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar informed the house that 99 Central Road Fund (CRF) projects at an estimated cost of Rs 1306.47 crore have been sanctioned for Kashmir Province since the inception of the scheme.
Replying to a question of legislator Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, the Minister informed that Rs 378.18 crore has been expended on these projects till date.
The Minister further informed that 27 projects have been completed and work on remaining 72 projects is at various stages of completion.
Responding to another part of the question, the Minister said that out of 99 projects under CRF scheme in Kashmir province, 2 projects including widening/upgradation of Bijbehara-Shopian road and up-gradation of Nagbal-Turkawangam road, Wasohallan-Hajipora road and Baskushan-Kawhara road have been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 51.39 crore in Shopian district.
