Advisor Khan inaugurates Pulwama fruit growers association office

Pulwama: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, today visited Pulwama district and convened a meeting with representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and district administration besides meeting various delegations.

Advisor met several delegations of PRI members, Farmers’ Associations, Horticulture and Industrial Association besides Tribal Affairs and local Trader Associations and listened to their demands and grievances.

The delegations put forth various demands and problems related to development and welfare of their respective areas seeking an early redressal to the same. Their issues included honorarium to PRIs besides their security, office accommodation, transport facility and one computer set, shortage of staff in various departments, power supply during harsh winters.

Earlier, Advisor visited fruit mandi Prichoo and inaugurated fruit growers office in presence of DDC Chairman, DDC Pulwama, Director General Horticulture, Director Agriculture and other senior officers.

The fruit growers association apprised the Advisor of their issues related to developmental infrastructure in the fruit mandi, allotment of shops, widening of approaching roads and related matters.
