Army as part of its initiative to recognise work of farmers from Gujjar and Bakarwal communities from Jammu &Kashmir,organised a tour of 20 livestock bearers and farmers hailing from remote places of Poonch district to various agricultural universities in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
According to a statement, the capacity building tourspanning over nine days started on 1 March 1 covering two top universities-ChaudharySarvan Kumar Himachal Pradesh KrishiVidyalaya, Palampur (HP) and theGB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar (Uttarakhand).
The statement said farmers also interacted with DrTejPratap,Vice-Chancellor of GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology,Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.
