Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor KargilKacho Ahmad Ali Khan has thanked Prime Minister NarendraModi, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok GajaPatiRaju and Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali for inclusion of Kargil under Udan 2 scheme and sanctioning of Air Service between Kargil to Srinagar.
Terming the decisions as historical Kacho has expressed hope that these will help in relieving Kargil from the long hibernation of the winter season when people have to depend on the AN-32 Courier Service or move to Leh for travelling outside Ladakh.
Congratulating the people of Kargil on these major developments Kacho has also thanked the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, Union Surface Transport Minister NitinGadkari and Chairman Legislative Council for finalizing the modalities for construction of Zojila Tunnel project .
The CEC has expressed optimism that the Coalition Government will continue to take requisite steps for progress and development of Kargil.
