Government on Tuesday constituted a committee to identify the reasons for poor performance of various government sponsored schemes financed by banks.
According to an order, a high-level committee headed by administrative secretary of the Finance Department would identify the reasons of poor performance under various government sponsored schemes vis-a-vis financing through banks.
The committee would also recommend measures to address the identified problems. The other members of the committee include administrative secretary, Industries and Commerce, Labour Commissioner, Director Agriculture, Jammu/Kashmir, Director Rural Development Kashmir/Jammu and representatives of different banks including J&K Bank Ltd.
