Residents of Dildarpora Chichlipora near Magam have urged chairman J&K Bank to facilitate setting-up of a bank branch and an ATM kiosk in the area.
An appeal made by Auqaf and Masjid Jamia Intizamia Committee of the area said several villages around Dildarpora has many trade and business related persons who find it difficult to make transactions in branches far off from the area.
They said many people are associated with gold and silver trade and are involved in day-to-day business transactions with traders from cities outside the Valley.
The inhabitants have said that their demand for a new bank branch and ATM have been turned down by bank officials on several occasions.
