FCIK urges Guv admin to ensure safety of Kashmiris in Jammu

The Federation of Chambers of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) has criticised the state government for its “failure” to protect the lives and property of Kashmiris in Jammu.

According to a written statement, FCIK has urged the governor administration to take concrete measures to stop this madness and hooliganism on the roads of Jammu immediately.

“We condemn the arson, loot, burning of vehicles and damaging of houses and flats belonging to and causing injuries to Kashmiris living in Jammu,” it reads.

FCIK has demanded immediate sacking of the divisional administration as well as district administration of Jammu that has been caught napping during these organised riots and for letting loose the reign of terror by hooligans with fascist and communal mindset.

The damages would not have been caused, had the administration imposed curfew from the wee hours of Friday after taking notice of Thursday’s violent protests on Jammu roads, it said. FCIK has also appealed the people of Kashmir not to get panicky,  maintain calm and ensure safety of people from outside currently in the valley. The industrial body has also asked its counterparts in Jammu to play their role in ensuring the safety and security of all Kashmiris besides bringing back the normalcy.
