Govt empowers LAHDCs for advance withdrawals uptoRs 50 lakh

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday amended thefinancial code, volume-I and granted Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council to make advance drawaluptoRs 50 lakh. An order issued from the finance department read, “In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to section 118 of the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor is pleased to direct amendments be made in the Jammu and Kashmir financial code volume-I.” As per the order, “The Ladakh autonomous hill development council (Leh and Kargil) shall be competent to make advance drawaluptoRs 50 lakh with the concurrence of the chief controller of finance concerned, without making a reference to the finance department.”
