Grameen Bank organises fin literacy camp in Sruinsar

Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion (MF&FI) Department of J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NBARD) organised Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (D-FLAP) in unbanked village Sagoon of Sruinsar.

The theme of the camp was women empowerment in which around 300 women and 200 farmers participated, a spokesperson of the bank said.

   

Ajay Bharti, Chief Manager, J&K Grameen Bank was the chief guest on the occasion while Sahil Sharma, senior manager, and Vipan Gupta, senior manager, MF&FI department were guest of honour.

The resource persons educate female folk’s regarding various digital banking schemes at Branch Offices, Sruinsar while farmers were aware about the loans and schemes in agriculture and allied sectors initiated by the bank. The resource persons impressed upon the participants, specially women to avail benefits of different schemes.

Presenting vote of thanks, Mukesh Kumar Sagotra, branch head Sruinsar presented detail information of branch’s working and also aware participants about several people friendly schemes. He also highlighted importance of social security schemes and appealed people to avail benefits of these schemes.

Later, car, tractor, “Joint Liability Group (JLG) and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans of worth Rs.25 lakh were distributed among the beneficiaries by presented dignitaries.

Sarpanch, Panchs among several local villagers, traders and shopkeepers were presented on the occasion and appreciated the working of Branch Office, Sruinsar.
