Human Effort for Love & Peace (HELP) Foundation J&K organised a one day training programme for the women handicraft artisans in Budgam under a project titled “Empowerment of Women Artisans Associated with Kashmir Art” supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
In a statement the Foundation said that the artisans were trained by the trainers from Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute and Handicrafts department Budgam.
“More than 70 women artisans participated in the programme who were mobilized from different villages of Budgam District. HELP Foundation is working for the destitute, deprived, widows and orphans since 3 decades in J&K. Transportation, Refreshment, Resource Persons and accommodation with heating and seating arrangements were provided by the HELP Foundation. COVID-19 SOPs were also taken care of by providing facemasks and sanitizers to the attendees,” it said.
