The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir Sunday termed the visit of Home Minister Rajnath Singh to Kashmir as a "mere symbolic gesture" and "an attempt to buy time".

President, CCIK, Zahoor Ahmad Tramboo said that the visit of Home Minister "was just a PR exercise and effort by the centre government to buy time."

"It is unfortunate despite the pellets causing eye injuries to the youth, the HM has desisted for banning its use by the forces," said Tramboo while demanding that the international community should take cognizance of the reports and should force Indian government to ban pellet guns in Kashmir.

He said that government should lift ban on mobile and internet services in the state, as it has added to the chaos and confusion.
