IHM Srinagar to launch food entrepreneurship development programme

Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Srinagar is going to launch a new programme on food entrepreneurship development. 

According to an official spokesperson, the announcement was made on Saturday during the 37th board of governors meeting of the institute held under the chairmanship of secretary J&K tourism department, Rigzian Sampheal, who is the chairman of the governing body of the institute.

   

During the meeting the board decided that a new programme of food entrepreneurship development in the disciplines of Cook-tandoor, baker, halwai (Indian sweets) and multi-skill caretaker shall be launched in the institute as per the scheme designed by the Union ministry of tourism. 

The board while reviewing the overall working of the institute decided that henceforth the incumbents engaged as contractual faculty shall be paid a monthly remuneration of Rs 25000 and there shall be an annual increase of Rs 1000.

The board also decided that apart from degree and diploma courses, the institute shall continue to impart training under Hunar Se Rozgar Programme free-of-cost and the participants besides reading material, stationery shall be provided uniform by the institute free of cost.

The board also cleared the pending compassionate appointment case of an employee died in harness in the past.
