IMf confirms 8 adventure expeditions to Kun, 10 for Nun
Seeking to promote adventure tourism in a big way in Ladakh and Kashmir, Director Tourism, Kashmir Farooq A Shah today interacted with Indian Mountaineering Federation (IMf) president H S Chouhan and its honorary Secretary B K Kotty. Shah informed the office bearers of Indian Mountaineering Federation that the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir was serious enough to promote the adventure tourism in the state. Shah said that the state has huge potential to be promoted as adventure tourism destination. He said Nun Kun peaks could be promoted as a parallel to K2.
Notably, the IMf has confirmed 8 adventure expeditions for Kun and 10 expeditions for Nun this year and will make it a priority to promote the adventure potential of the state in a big way.
Shah said that Brahma peak will be promoted along with the Aigar and Skilmoon in Kishtwaar. The IMf office bearers confirmed to Shah that it would organize its national adventure tourism conference in the first week of June.
