KCCI cites Internet blockade, seeks extension in filing GST returns

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Saturday appealed to the state government to extend the date of submission of GST returns in view of recent Internet shutdown.

Senior vice president, KCCI, Nasir Hamid Khan said the previous few weeks have been disturbed due to the conduct of the local municipal elections and other reasons.

“We are writing to draw your kind attention towards the problem being faced by dealers in uploading their GST returns due to the non-availability and/or slow speed of Internet facility,” he said.

He requested BB Vyas, the advisor to Governor, to extend the date for submission of returns by ten days so that dealers are not penalized for the uncertain situation prevailing in the state.
