Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan Tuesday convened a meeting regarding the issues highlighted by Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industries (KCCI) here.
Members of the KCCI lauded the “serious efforts anddedication” of Divisional Commissioner to clear 3000 trucks loaded withessential commodities on the National Highway towards valley on Saturday.”
They said such supply will timely benefit the valleyconsumers, an official handout said.
The members highlighted various issues to the DivisionalCommissioner.
Regarding hassle free road connectivity to the valley, theDivisional Commissioner assured the members that National Highway will be fullyrestored within a week and traffic will ply from both ends on it besidesroadside amenities will be developed along the Mughal Road within 10 days.
He assured members that government will distribute 4500quintals of sugar to the valley consumers soon.
Div Com assured the delegation that their other concernswould be taken care of for the betterment of the economic sector in the Valley.
The Divisional Commissioner said that he would hold weeklymeetings with KCCI members on every Saturday to listen and redress issues, ifany, faced by the business fraternity.
Directors of Industries & Commerce, Horticulture,Handicrafts & Airport Authority, VC SDA, Chief Engineer PDD, Joint DirectorTourism, Additional Commissioner SMC, SP Traffic (Rural), AssistantCommissioner (Central), higher members of KCCI and other concerned officerswere present in the meeting.
