The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the state government to push the centre government for approving North-East pattern industrial scheme for Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement, the KCCI has already taken up the issue with both the state and central governments and were hopeful that the state government would urgently follow-up on this much needed incentive package for the development of industry in the state.
President KCCI Javed Tenga has also draw the attention of the state government towards the need for following up on important announcements made in the state budget. In this regard, special mention was made of the announcement regarding applicable power tariff to hotels which was to be put in effect from the April 1. The waiver of interest/penalty on power tariff was also announced. No requisite orders have so far been issued in this regard, which has caused confusion and anxiety amongst the stakeholders.
