The annual election to the executive committee of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) was conducted on Saturday at Kashmir Government Arts Emporium, Srinagar.
According to a statement of the chamber, out of the 1305 members 1082 (83%) cast their votes till 4 pm, the closing time of the voting.
The votes were cast personally by the registered member concerns. The Election process has been carried out under overall supervision of the Election Commission of the KCCI.
“The polling process was held in most cordial, peaceful and transparent manner. The process of counting of votes will be started today and the result of poll shall be announced in the 84th annual general meeting of the chamber scheduled to be held on Friday, September 29 at the SKICC, Srinagar.
